RoboForex brought its financial education drive to Kano yesterday, drawing more than 100 participants to a practical training on how to open and manage dollar-denominated Forex accounts.
The event held at Franchies Hall in Rijiyan Zaki was organized to introduce residents to the basics of currency trading and the steps required to register and funds an account with RoboForex.
From the early hours, attendees filled the hall. Many came with notebooks and phones, ready to follow the live demonstrations on registration, verification, and deposit processes in dollars.
The Kano State Ambassador for RoboForex, Bin Malik, opened the session with remarks on the purpose of the gathering , while described Forex trading as an opportunity that rewards consistency.
“With little capital and patience, one can turn a modest start into millions of naira in the shortest period,” Bin Malik told the crowd. His message set the tone for a day focused on discipline rather than quick wins.
He emphasized that the training was not about speculation alone. It was about understanding market structure, risk management, and the technology behind modern trading platforms.
The keynote address was delivered by RoboForex CEO, Mr. Xistus Udagamah, explained several key intelligent facts that he said make Forex attractive to both beginners and experienced traders.
According to Mr. Udagamah, investing in Forex is essentially investing in dollars. Because most major currency pairs are quoted against the US dollar, traders are directly exposed to one of the world’s most traded currencies.
He broke down how a dollar account works within the RoboForex system. Participants learned how to create an account, complete KYC, choose leverage settings, and fund the wallet using dollar equivalents.
“Forex money is an investment,” Mr. Udagamah said. “If you acquire a substantial amount and apply the right strategy, your investment will always have the potential to yield positive results.”
He cautioned that “always” depends on education and risk control. The CEO stressed that no market guarantees profit, but informed decisions improve outcomes over time.
A major part of his presentation focused on patience. He showed charts and examples where small, consistent gains compounded when traders avoided emotional decisions.
The company also demonstrated the RoboForex trading platform live. Participants watched how to place trades, set stop-loss and take-profit levels, and monitor margin in real time.
Questions from the audience centered on capital requirements, withdrawal processes, and how to protect accounts from volatility. The team answered each one with step-by-step guidance.
Also speaking at the event was the MD/CEO of Sixty’s, who welcomed participants on behalf of the local partners. He linked the success of Forex trading to two pillars.
“Success in the Forex market relies on patience and education of the new technology,” he said. He urged attendees to treat the training as the beginning of a learning journey, not the end.
He added that technology has lowered the barrier to entry. Mobile apps and dollar accounts now allow traders in Kano to access global markets without leaving the city.
Participants were taken through practical exercises. In groups of 50, they practiced registering demo accounts and navigating the dashboard under the supervision of RoboForex trainers.
Trainers highlighted the importance of starting with a demo. They advised new traders to test strategies with virtual dollars before committing real funds.
The curriculum also covered risk management rules. Topics included position sizing, avoiding over-leverage, and keeping a trading journal to track decisions.
By mid-afternoon, over 100 participants had completed the registration walkthrough. Many said they were most interested in learning how to trade major pairs like EUR/USD and GBP/USD.
The atmosphere in Franchies Hall remained interactive. Attendees exchanged contacts and formed small study groups to continue practicing after the event.
Organizers said the Kano training is part of a wider plan to expand financial literacy across northern Nigeria. More sessions are expected in other states in the coming months.
The event closed with a call to action: open an account responsibly, keep learning, and treat Forex as a skill that grows with time and experience.
