The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), International Passport Office at Farm Centre, Kano, has announced that a large number of already-produced international passports are available for collection.
The office is operating today, Tuesday, August 25, despite the public holiday, to provide applicants with an opportunity to collect their passports ahead of the August 31 deadline for intending Hajj pilgrims.
The development is particularly important to Kano State intending pilgrims who are yet to submit their international passports to the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board for uploading and documentation.
The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, had urged all intending pilgrims who have not submitted their passports to do so before the deadline.
Applicants with produced passports are therefore encouraged to take advantage of the office’s operation today and collect their documents promptly to avoid delays in the Hajj preparation process.
