Kano State Roads Traffic Agency KAROTA, has successfully apprehended a hit and run driver who tried to avoid a check point by Karota personnel at Dambatta Unit on saturday around 3pm but ended up in knocking down the 2 i/c in the patrol team, Nasir Abdullahi leaving him unconscious with multiple fractures.
After escaping from being arrested on the spot, the Karota intelligence officers kept trailing the run away driver and finally succeeded in tracking him down and he was was handed over to the Traffic Division of the Kano State Police Command at Kofar Nassarawa for further investigation and subsequent prosecution.
The victim, Malam Nasir Abdullahi is now lying unconsciously at the Intensive Care Unit of Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital where it was discovered that he has six different fractures as a result of the injuries he sustained after he was knocked down by the suspected driver.
