The Nigeria Police have arrested a suspected gun manufacturer from Jos, Plateau State, in connection with the ongoing insecurity in Zamfara, a predominantly Muslim state that has long faced issues of banditry.
According to police intelligence, the suspect is believed to have been involved in producing firearms allegedly used by bandits in attacks within the state.
His arrest followed an intelligence-driven operation aimed at disrupting the supply of illegal weapons fueling violence in the region.
