
Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, has celebrated 259 young men who memorised the Holy Quran at Madarasatul Tahfeez Wal Dirasatul Qur’aniyyah, Hubbaren Shehu, distributing 259 motorcycles and ₦500,000 each to 53 teachers. The governor also approved ₦10 million for the school’s upkeep and directed the inclusion of teachers on the state payroll from April.
Governor Aliyu commended Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for establishing the centre of excellence and appreciated donors who contributed ₦168 million to its growth. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening both Islamic and Western education in Sokoto State [1][2].
