A Magistrate Court in Rano, Kano State, has remanded Kabir Mu’azu Gwarzo in a correctional facility for allegedly killing his wife, Maryam Isa, for ritual purposes. The prosecution presented three witnesses, and the court adjourned the case until June 19 for further proceedings.
The Kano State Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Abdulkarim Kabir Maude, charged Gwarzo with culpable homicide contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code. The alleged offence occurred in Gwarzo village, where the accused reportedly killed his wife and removed parts of her body.
