Hollywood actor Brad Pitt is facing a legal challenge after a luxury skincare company accused him of adopting a brand name that closely resembles its own intimate cosmetic line.
According to reports, Malibu-based wellness brand Beau D. has filed legal documents against Pitt’s skincare label, Beau Domaine, alleging that the actor’s company adopted a name that could create confusion in the beauty and wellness market.
Beau D., founded in 2020, gained attention for its premium grooming products, including a luxury lip salve and a controversial “D. Cream” a product marketed for male intimate care.
Brad Pitt entered the skincare industry in 2022 when he launched a French-inspired beauty brand in collaboration with the renowned Perrin winemaking family. The skincare line initially operated under the name “Le Domaine” before it was reportedly rebranded to “Beau Domaine” last year.
The Oscar-winning actor’s beauty products are heavily influenced by French vineyard culture and include ingredients derived from grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, combined with anti-ageing compounds designed to promote healthier skin.
The legal dispute has now placed Pitt’s luxury skincare venture under scrutiny, with Beau D. claiming the similarity between the two names could potentially mislead consumers and damage its brand identity.
The controversy adds another layer of public attention to Pitt’s growing business interests in France, particularly his connection to Château Miraval the famous winery at the centre of his long-running legal battle with former wife Angelina Jolie.
Neither Brad Pitt nor representatives of Beau Domaine have publicly responded to the lawsuit as of the time of filing this report.
