
Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has gifted each pilgrim from the state a reward of one thousand Riyals, handed out by the Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Muhammadu Maigari DingyaÉ—e, in Makkah.
The gesture is seen as a way of appreciating the pilgrims for their dedication and sacrifice in undertaking the holy pilgrimage.
The pilgrims are currently in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, performing the Hajj rituals.
