The Niger State Police Command has arrested Chidi Johnson, 24, and Zainab Ibrahim, 22, for allegedly abducting a four-week-old baby in Minna.
The suspects were apprehended after a swift investigation, and the baby has been rescued and reunited with its mother.
Johnson, also known as “Yaron Pastor,” was approached by Zainab to obtain a newborn.
He deceived a nursing mother, telling her a benefactor wanted to give her baby food and alms, and made off with the child.
The police investigation led to the arrest of Johnson, and subsequently, Zainab was also apprehended.
The suspects are currently being investigated and will face court charges soon.
