The Kano State Government has issued a strong warning to individuals and groups allegedly planning to sabotage and destabilize the state, declaring that its silence should not be misconstrued as weakness.
The government said it is fully aware of the clandestine moves by some elements bent on undermining peace and progress in the ancient commercial city for their selfish political interests.
According to the government, its calm and quiet approach in handling sensitive state matters does not in any way mean it is afraid or lacks the capacity to act decisively.
It therefore cautioned those plotting against the state to desist forthwith, warning that it will not hesitate to deal ruthlessly with anyone caught attempting to cause chaos or breach public peace.
The government further reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property and ensuring Kano remains peaceful, stable and progressive for all law-abiding residents.
