The Kebbi Police Command has debunked reports of a terrorist group called “Sai Mallam” operating in the state, attributing the claims to cybercrime syndicates spreading false information. Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, urged the public to disregard the rumors and continue their daily activities without fear.
The police are working to apprehend those behind the false reports, emphasizing their commitment to protecting lives and property in Kebbi State. Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M. Sani, assured residents that the state is peaceful and safe for law-abiding citizens.
This isn’t the first time the Kebbi Police Command has dismissed false security reports. Recently, they debunked claims of ungovernable local government areas in the state, citing misinformation and gross irresponsibility.
The police have been actively combating crime in Kebbi, with recent operations leading to the arrest of suspected bandits and the rescue of kidnapped victims. They continue to urge citizens to report suspicious activities to aid in their efforts.
