Over 30 people were reported feared dead after a boat capsized in Malamawar Yandutse, Ringim Local Government Area, Jigawa State.
Thirteen bodies have been buried, and rescue efforts continue for those still missing.
The boat was carrying over 40 passengers, including men, women, and children, who were returning home after working on farms.
Eight people survived the accident, and seven bodies have been recovered.
The incident has raised concerns about the enforcement of safety regulations, particularly the mandatory use of life jackets, which was introduced by the Nigerian government last year.
